Business Analyst

Job description

The role of a Business Analyst is to liaise between the Business/Product team and the Development team. This role is key to the successful and timely completion of projects throughout the lifecycle of the business. The candidate is expected to work closely with members of the Technology, Product, Testing and Operational teams as well as other key stakeholders in the company.

Requirements

• Effective use of business modelling and requirements-management techniques such as process and workflow modelling, use cases, and user-story definition
• Gather, review and align Business Requirements from Business/Product following internal standard operating procedures
• Requirement analysis through analysing BRDs / Gap documents
• Act as liaison/agent between Development and Business for requirements and assumptions clarification or validation, compromise or agreement mediation, and to close information gaps
• Provide functional support during development and testing phases — preparing Business Scenarios, reviewing Test Scenarios/Cases
• Support integration and User Acceptance Testing
• Support go-live activities — review and validate business rules and requirements and obtain all required sign-offs

Skill sets required

• Prior experience working with Product / Software Development Life Cycle; exposure to agile product development is a plus
• Excellent communication and proven stakeholder-management skills
• Strong sense of ownership and accountability
• Prior experience and clear understanding of project-management and business-analysis approaches
• Educational qualification: BE / MBA
• Work experience: 2–3 years
